Do you run automatic Windows Update on your laptop?

Are you fully up to date? If not, try updating / rebooting / updating / rebooting until you are all up to date.

Then, can you check if you have the optional update KB3000850 installed? If you don't, please install it.

After all the above, do you still have the same issue?

I have an HP 6710b laptop with " Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection " which runs with WIN 8.1 . I have problems to connect automaticaly to my wi-fi modem. It works only after run troubleshooter or after disable/enable network adapter. I've tried different drivers and now I have the last one possible for this device.Any ideas for solving this issue please ? Thank you.

Hi Cobreola, it seems in this case you are using the Microsoft* inbox driver as Intel does not provide a driver for this wireless adapter Windows* 8.1.

You may contact Microsoft* for further assistance.

http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-031641.htm Intel® Wi-Fi Products — Which Operating Systems Are Supported by Intel Wireless Products?

http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-033840.htm Intel® Wi-Fi Products — Intel® Wireless Products and Microsoft Windows 8* and Windows 8.1*
