Is Centrino Advanced 6235 card compatible with my HP Laptop?

Just recently bought this card, installed it, pushed power and get a black screen saying "Not supported, System Halted". It looks like I am SOL, but thought I would get a second opinion. Any ideas?

--Using HP dv7-6185us Laptop with Windows 7

Let me help you with this issue.

The wireless card you have is compatible with many devices. However, in regards the compatibility with your HP laptop I would say the best thing here is for you to contact your Computer Manufacture and confirm with them.

I have a DV7-7000 CTO from HP and I was able to use one. I would honestly suggest making sure your BIOS is up to date.
