Hello,

We checked further on your inquiry and confirmed that we do not have a RED certification for the N 6300. Furthermore, this adapter already reached its End of Life. There are no plans to renew the certification as Intel is no longer manufacturing, nor selling this product.

The documentation for products that will continue to ship after June 13 2017 will be updated in order to provide the information about RED certification; therefore, we strongly recommend to migrate to current wireless adapters.

Regards,

Jonathan B.

Dear Intel,

The European Parliament and Council Directive on Radio and Telecommunication Terminal Equipment (R&TTE) (1999/5/EC) was revised in 2014 to become the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) 2014/53/EU.

The R&TTE Directive covers all equipment that uses the radio frequency spectrum, with a few exceptions.

Finally the RED came into effect on 13th day of June 2016, and the transition period to the new RED is until 13th day of June 2017

Please check if N6300 CE certification is updated for RED 2014/53/EU

Best Regards,

Martin

Hello n6300,

Please keep in mind that the preferred contact for export and compliance documents is your reseller, or sales representative. You might want to check if they have the updated information.

In our best effort, we checked our page for http://www.intel.ie/content/www/ie/en/support/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking/000007443.html?wapkw=8260+markings Regulatory Documents for Intel® Wireless Products. As you mentioned, it only has the 1999/5/EC for the Intel® Centrino® Ultimate-N 6300.

We will research further on your inquiry and will update once we have more information.

Regards,

Jonathan B.
