Hi Michael,

Laptop manufacturers often make changes to the wireless software and drivers. This could explain why Toshiba works and the Acer does not. There are also differences in how the manufacturer integrates the wireless adapter into the laptop. As I said before Intel does not support changing the MAC address on the wireless card. Why do you need to change the MAC address? Perhaps there is a workaround to your issue.

--Ilene

Michael,

Sorry but this feature is not supported on 12.x and later. The 5100 is only supported on 12.x and later drivers. You can find more information at http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-031081.htm http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-031081.htm,

Ilene
