Intel Driver support Assistant

Hello,

I'm having issues with the Driver support Assistant program. It will not download any updates through the program its self. I have tried on multiple browsers, turning off all my security. The program is up to date and I have tried re-installing it.

I have to search for the new drivers individually through the website and download them separately. It's not a huge deal, but when you have multiple updates and have to ensure you're getting the right drivers it can be a pain.

For instance today I was notified that Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz had a driver update to 22.40.0.7 from 22.30.11. When I click to get updates through the program it opens in Edge and when I click to download all nothing happens. It's been this way Since I bought this PC In December. So, I have to search the drivers and download them manually every time.

Any suggestions or fixes?

Thanks

Run the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU) to gather more details about the system.

· Download the Intel® SSU and save the application on your computer: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-

· Open the application, check the "Everything" checkbox, and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. The Intel® SSU defaults to the "Summary View" on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".

· To save your scan, click Next and click Save.

2.

Hi Deivid,

Quick question, as I'm not clear on this: If Support Assist works okay on a new NUC, does it download everything automatically to bring my machine up to date ... or do I still need to load any updates or drivers separately? Thanks.

Hello ClariceStarling,

In this case, if you have a NUC system the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant should inform you about any new update for your device. It may not update all of them, since some updates need a manual installation to avoid damaging the unit (like BIOS updates). However, the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant should update any wireless/graphics/audio/tools drivers.

If you experience any issue with the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant do not hesitate to open a thread to get some help.

-Intel® Driver & Support Assistant FAQ: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/idsa-faq.html

Best regards,

Deivid A.

Intel Customer Support Technician

There are certain packages that are not installed by and aren't (or may not be) updated by IDSA. It is thus recommended that you always install the Intel Chipset Device Software and Intel Management Engine Software packages before you install IDSA.

Hope this helps,
