Who knows? You haven't provided enough information for us to determine anything. Send us a picture of your existing Wireless card and the socket that it is plugged into. As well, please download and run the Intel System Support Utility for Windows. Select all data categories and then have it generate a report. Next, have the tool Save the report to a text file (don't try to use the Submit capability; it doesn't work). Finally, using the Drag and drop here or browse files to attach dialog below the edit box for the body of your response post, upload and attach this file to the response post.

Hello @Anonymous

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

We are checking this thread and in regards to your inquiry, it worth mentioning that installation or use of Intel® Wireless Adapters, along with the complete system design is subject to country-specific legal regulations. Intel® does not sell or recommend wireless adapters directly to end customers and cannot provide pricing information.

When verifying the information, the Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) may limit the computer to only specific wireless adapters, causing an installation error when booting with a different, previously installed wireless adapter,

It is also necessary to consider other limitations from the OEM in the equipment, such as checking the compatibility, the operating system, the form factor, etc.

When an end-user installs a wireless card on a system that did not come with it from the factory, this is what we call "Wireless Integration" and it may cause connection issues or software-hardware errors.

In this scenario, our recommendation is to address this question directly to the computer manufacturer for proper information. For your convenience, here is the link to MSI* Support.

For more information, you may also review the following links:

Regulatory Information Regarding Wireless Hardware Installation or Upgrade

Why Doesn't My Laptop Recognize My New Intel® Wireless Adapter?

Why Can't I Find What Intel® Wireless Adapters Are Compatible with My Laptop?

Having said that, we will proceed to close this inquiry now. If you need any additional information, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.

Best regards,

Andrew G.

Intel Customer Support Technician
