Hello Spirrewell,

It is important that you know that Intel does not support integration. You can check more information by accessing the information in this link: http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/cs-011644.htm Intel® Wi-Fi Products — Regulatory Information Regarding Hardware Installation or Upgrade

On our best effort to assist you, here are some tips that might help you as well.

1 - Change to a channel that has less interference, you may want to use third-party tools to find out which channel is less crowded. Some users have reported here the usage of inSSIDer, a Wi-Fi analyzer to find out the best channel. There are two versions of this software (Payed and Free) and you are welcome to choose the the best serves your need. For your convenience, here is the link to the free version: http://www.techspot.com/downloads/5936-inssider.html inSSIDer 3.1.2.1

2 - Check firewall and antivirus configurations as well as background applications depending on their settings and what they doing, they can also impact as well.

3 - See how many other people are on the network, depending on what they are doing, it may consume bandwidth and the type of game can impact as well.

4 - This link can also clarifies the causes for lagging in online video games: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AK0WLeOlh80 What Causes Lag in Online Video Games? - YouTube

Alternatively, you can use our solutions below to see if they can help you resolving this issue:

http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/sb/CS-030709.htm?wapkw=wifi+recommended+settings Wireless Networking — What are the Recommended Settings for 802.11n Connectivity?

http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-034658.htm Intel® Wi-Fi Products — Quick Checks That Might Improve or Fix Connection Issues

http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-025332.htm Intel® Wi-Fi Products — Resolving Wi-Fi Network Connection Issues

http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/cs-006205.htm Intel® Wi-Fi Products — Power Save Polling (PSP) Causes Connection Issues with Access Points

http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-006321.htm Intel® Wi-Fi Products — Access Point (AP) Firmware Updates May Resolve Wireless Network Issues

http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-031509.htm Intel® Wi-Fi Products — Possible Interference by Other Wireless Devices May Impact 802.11n Performance

AC7260 Inconsistent Connectivity AKA Laggy

Hi.

I had an AC7260 mini pci-e card that was in a laptop and I had connected it to my desktop with an adapter, and I assumed that this was the problem with it, because it was intended for laptops. However, I recently bought what I thought was NOT and AC7260, it was a Gigabyte GC-WB867D-I. If I had known it was an Intel AC7260 in disguise, I wouldn't have bought the thing.

But here's where I'm at, these are two cards, one laptop, one desktop, that will not work right on my computer. Every time I go to play a game online, every 10-20 seconds or so I lag horribly. I go from like 40 ms ping to 200-300+.

If I use my Android phone VIA USB tethering as a wireless device, my connectivity is flawless. I disabled all of the power management settings for maximum performance and still the AC7260 lags horrifically. I should not be getting better Internet speed from tethering my phone's WiFi than an actual Wireless card.

I have the most recent drivers. Bluetooth doesn't work on either of them. I'm incredibly frustrated here. I'm about ready to buy a new card, and I will make absolutely sure it is not an Intel. I should not be getting this bad of a connection.

For reference my PC specifications are:

Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming

GPU: EVGA GTX 660 Ti

CPU: i7 4770K

OS: Windows 10

If you can help me I would greatly appreciate it.
