Difference Between 8260 and 8265

Hi, I am looking to purchase a new wireless card and have decided to go with one from Intel.

I want something up-to-date that will have full compatibility with Windows 10, so have narrowed it down to either the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260, or the 8265.

Comparing these on the ARK shows pretty much identical specifications.

I downloaded and compared the two spec sheets and can't see much difference either, except for the 8265 seems to have MU-MIMO.

Other than that, are there any other differences between the two cards?

As you suggested, the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 is very similar to the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260.

The main difference is that the ac 8265 is the 4th Generation of Intel 802.11ac, therefore, it includes full support the latest ac features such as MU-MIMO, 802.11r, 802.11k, 802.11v (pending).

Keep in mind that you should contact the http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/OEMs.html Computer Manufacturer Support before upgrading your wireless adapter, so they can let you know if a newer adapter is compatible with your PC.
