I wouldn't mind maybe letting your driver developers know about this, maybe it would be a quick fix for them and it would make a lot of people happy.

I'm ok on my end because I have a work around although it's still a bit of a pain since first I have to disable Intel BT in device manager then plug the other adapter in, as Windows won't allow both Bluetooth adapters to work simultaneously.

Thank you!
Happy holidays!

Device: USB\VID_8087&PID_0029

It's next to impossible to pair 2 playstation ds4 controllers at the same time with driver 22.90.0.4.

I say next to impossible because if you spend an hour pairing and unpairing it might work <LI-EMOJI id="lia_slightly-smiling-face" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"></LI-EMOJI>

Pairing to a single controller at a time works as expected.

I have switched to a Broadcom BCM20702 USB dongle and it works and pairs as expected.

This is clearly a bug in the Intel Bluetooth driver.

Thank you!

Hello Escape75,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

In order to better assist you, please provide the following:

1. Run the Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU) to gather more details about the system.

· Download the Intel® SSU and save the application on your computer: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18377/intel-system-support-utility-for-windows.html

· Open the application, check the "Everything" checkbox, and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. The Intel® SSU defaults to the "Summary View" on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".

· To save your scan, click Next and click Save.

2. Did the controller work before with your laptop? If so, when did the issue start?

3. Do the controllers work fine with other Bluetooth devices (laptops, smart TV, desktop computer with wifi features)?

4. Is this the original adapter that came pre-installed on your computer or did you change/install the adapter to this one?

Regards,

Deivid A.

Intel Customer Support Technician

Hello,

1) See the attached Report.txt

2) I can get it to work once in a while with my PC using the Intel BT, but using 3rd party BT dongles it works 100%.

3) Yes, using 3rd party dongles on the same exact PC - see above.

4) Pre-installed on my PC - MSI Gaming PC.

I have noticed other people having similar issues with Intel BT adapters, so this was more of a bug report <LI-EMOJI id="lia_slightly-smiling-face" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"></LI-EMOJI>

I realize the PlayStation DS4 controller is probably not officially supported however it is a bluetooth device, and works just fine on IOS and Android, etc., and the fact that pairing a single controller at a time works, but not both, seems to suggest a bluetooth driver issue.

Thanks!

For steps you may need to check with them:

2. Perform a clean installation of the Bluetooth driver:

3. Perform a clean installation of the Wi-Fi driver:

Steps to perform a clean install:

Regards,

Deivid A.

Intel Customer Support Technician

Thanks for the suggestion however I've already tried the clean re-install option and I have also tried different Intel revisions of the driver, both Wireless and Bluetooth before starting this thread, I have also done fairly extensive research on the Internet and the only suggestion I've found was to switch to a different manufacturer of Bluetooth.

Unfortunately it's been a known problem, even with previous product releases:

https://community.intel.com/t5/Wireless/Can-Intel-AC-9260-Bluetooth-work-with-4-concurrent-PlayStation/td-p/662264/page/2

Pairing one at a time and then connecting one at a time works just fine.

Thanks again!
