I purchased and installed KILLER 1690i. But I don't know how to use DOUBLE CONNECT. How can I connect 2.4GHz and 5 GHz at the same time?

Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities.

Regarding your questions about the Intel® Double Connect Technology, you must keep in mind that you do not only require Hardware; you also need software. In your case, you need to run the Intel Killer Wireless Performance Suite version 3.1121.1159. Also, Intel® Double Connect Technology is only supported on Windows 11. If you are running Windows 10, it will support only single radio functionality.

The 12th generation CPU and WIN11 are operating normally. The problem is the simultaneous access(5GHz and 2.4GHz) method, which option should I choose from KILLER INTELLIGENCE CENTER? Do I just have to choose DOUBLESHOT PRO?

Hello, tornos,

While investigating, I was able to confirm that you should be able to just get connected to the bands 2.4Hz and 5Hz or 2.5Hz and 6, not 5Hz and 6Hz, since the Intel® Double Connect Technology is connected by default. You need to make sure he has the latest OS build, latest driver, and updates from the system:

Latest Windows 11 build (22000)
Latest Driver for Intel® Killer™ Wi-Fi 6E AX1690 (i/s)
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19779/intel-killer-performance-suite.html

Also, you must confirm that you have access to the networks.

It is important to mention that it is important to reach OEM for any other steps to activate the features like Firmware.

Basically, I access 2.4 gigabytes or 5 gigabytes, but how do I check if there is a double connection after that? Windows 11 and the latest drivers are installed.

Regarding your question, with the Intel® Double Connect Technology, you should be able to connect to both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks at the same time. You should check if you try to connect to them and confirm if both networks appear as 'Connected.'

Hey I also purchased and installed a KILLER ax1690i but every time I install the drivers and all the other utilities I get

"This device cannot start. (Code 10)

Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API."

in device manager. Is there anything I can do about this because everything should be compatible.

The Killer AX1690 (i/s), hardware identical to the Intel AX411, requires a motherboard whose M.2 connector supports CNVio2. If you install either of these cards into a motherboard whose M.2 connector does not support CNVio2, then it simply isn't going to work.

So, the question is: does your motherboard support CNVio2? If not, you cannot use either of these modules nor take advantage of the Double-Connect capability.

I am currently using the ax201 intel Wi-Fi card and according to the specifications listed there it also uses CNVio2. What should mean that the ax1690i also should work.

Ok, next, when changing adapters like this, a clean install of the driver package is necessary. That is, use this general process (skip no steps):

Disconnect Internet access (unplug Ethernet cable and/or disable wireless).
Uninstall the current driver package.
Reboot (keeping Internet access disconnected).
Install the latest driver package.
Reconnect Internet access.

Does this fix it for you?

Hi it does not fix the issue for me it now does not recognize the adapter drivers.

I was wandering if my internal antennas are compatible? I have tried to search for it myself but I can't figure out which antennas are compatible. Can you tell me where I can buy them or which ones I need?

It's not the antennas. If the antennas work for the AX201, then they will work with the AX1690/AX411.

You have a situation where the motherboard is, for some reason, incompatible with the card or the card is simply bad. Let's look further...

Please download and run the Intel System Support Utility for Windows. When you start the tool, select Everything and then click on Scan. Once it completes the scan process, click on Next and then Save. Pick a name for the text file to create and click on Save to create it. You can then close the app. Finally, open a response post here and then, using the Drag and drop here or browse files to attach dialog (below the edit box for the body of your response post), upload and attach this text file to the response post.

In your report, I see a (driverless) entry for an Intel Wireless Device with VEN_8086-DEV_06F0-SUBSYS_16921A56 was detected.

A google found two entries for the AX1690i, VEN_8086-DEV_7A70-SUBSYS_16921A56 and VEN_8086-DEV_7AF0-SUBSYS_16921A56.

Neither of these entries match the device that is being detected. I can only conclude that you have a bad AX1690i card and that you should have it replaced. @Jean_Intel, do you concur?

Tengo el mismo problema, mi MSI GE75 Raider 10SGS venía de serie con ax1650i (201NGW) y la he cambiado por ax1690i (411NGW). pero no me reconoce los drivers para esta tarjeta de red, he seguido estos pasos y tampoco.

Te adjunto unas imágenes de como reconoce la tarjeta antes y después de instalar los drivers.

También un log con SSU de ax1650i y otro con la ax1690i instalada. A ver si me puedes ayudar.

In order to perform this change cleanly, you need to

Uninstall completely the existing Wireless and Bluetooth packages,
Shutdown.
Replace the card.
Power on and boot up.
Install the Wireless and Bluetooth packages.

The reason for this is because the packages contain multiple drivers for multiple cards and only the drivers (and firmware!) for the card that is present are going to be installed. These drivers (and firmware!) are likely to be incompatible with the new card.

Hello,

I recently upgraded to an Intel AX411 but am unable to connect to both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks at the same time. When I connect to one, it disconnects from the other. I have an ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Tri-band router with the two 5GHz band combined into a single 'Smart' 5 GHz band and the 2.4 GHz band by itself. Am I doing something wrong?
