Many thanks for your reply.

Before you install/change an Intel® Wireless Adapter in a system, you must contact the system manufacturer to determine if the adapter you plan to install is approved for use in your system and country. It is also important to understand that it may not work due to hardware or software compatibility issues or dependencies.

Feel free to read more information about Regulatory Information Regarding Wireless Hardware Installation or Upgrade (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005687/wireless.html).

I am going to keep working on this.

Given: Fritzbox 6590 with latest lab version 7.51, 2 AVM repeaters, older desktop PC (HP Compaq Elite 8300 CMT) with current Windows 11 version (pro), WLAN card Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz. The problem persists even with the latest official FritzOS version.
Ran unobtrusively for years, but recently I have repeatedly for several hours the problem that the WLAN connection is snore slow. Often 6 MBit/s are displayed and then you can do almost nothing in the network. ping -t also shows a strange behavior: There is always an almost monotonous increase of the times until almost 100 ms, then a new cycle starts with 1 or 2 ms and the times run up again. Sometimes also up to the timeout. It doesn't matter if the connection is to the Fritzbox or to one of the repeaters. Mostly only time cures the problem eventually, neither reconnecting nor rebooting the Fritzbox nor rebooting Windows fixes the problem.
But when I then boot Linux, I immediately have a connection with 1-1.3 GBit/s and there always with the box, never with a repeater. Afterwards Windows: Slow again. So the hardware can WLAN very well, only the combination of driver and Win 11 fails from time to time.

Now I'm trying an older driver version: 21.0.0.5 from 2019-02-27. Looks fine. No problems until now.

Now I've tried all drivers on my computer (device manager -> change driver -> search on my machine -> choose from a list, translated from German). Only one driver works good as I mentioned in my last post. On my machine (and I think, not only on my machine!) these drivers are bad:

21.110.1.1 from 2020-07-01: Shows very fast connection, put ping an copies in my local net are very slow

22.0.1.5 from 2021-01-17: Same as above

22.150.0.3 from 2022-05-24: All values are very bad (connection speed: 6 MBit/s, ping, and copy speed in my local net)

22.200.0.6 from 2023-01-17: Same as above

22.200.2.1 from 2023-03-09: Same as above with a little bit better connection speed (about 165 MBit/s)

What's going on here with the drivers? I fond only one "golden" driver, 21.0.0.5. Is Intel no longer capable of programming good drivers?

Best regards

The AX200 adapter wasn't preinstalled. It's an old HP system, HP Compaq Elite 8300 CMT, see the attached file.

After uninstalling the card in the device manager and rebooting, the current driver v22.200.2.1 was automatically installed. With the same bad result that I already knew well. I then went back to the driver 21.0.0.5 which was good for my system.

Thanks for your help!

Now I've tried the latest driver (22.220.0.4). It is much better than the previous one, but the performance of the older driver 21.0.0.5 is better (ping times are shorter). It is a step in the right direction, but not perfect.
