Hi @TheHawk

I agree with @AlHill that you are taking risk trying to upgrade your WiFi adapter without consulting with the OEM. You should know that AC 9560 adapter has CNVio interface type while AX411 has CNVio2. The CNVio2 is not backward compatible with CNVio and requires new generation CPU. So, in my opinion it will not work.

Leon

Hello there everyone!

Today I am using the Intel® Wireless-AC 9560 on my laptop which has Wi-Fi 5. I recently Changed my old router from the Asus RT-AC68U that has Wi-Fi 5 to the Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 Router that has Wi-Fi 6 because of lag in online games, all the lag got almost wiped out but I'm still running on around 50 pings. I want to lower it to around 10-20. I've been looking at buying a new Wireless Adapter for my laptop, the Intel® Wi-Fi 6E AX411 (Gig+), but I have noticed that the adapter has four pins on the images and my current only two. Is it still compatible? Should i buy it? I would be really glad if someone helped.

// TheHawk

You need to consult with the laptop manufacturer regarding compatibility and integration.

Doc (not an Intel employee or contractor)
[Maybe Windows 12 will be better]
