So i got 2 wireless cards from intel. Mini pci bus cards and being named as intel pro/wireless 2200bg. so i took of the modem/lan mini pci and put one intel mini pci wireless card. Booted to Windows 2000 and the new card was detected. So i downloaded the latest driver version, the 9.0.4.39. All went ok except that i noticed the cpu usage was always at 100% and still being at 100% now. So i decided to install xp and the drivers and still at 100%. I tried to fiddle the settings on advanced tab at device manager and still no good. if i deactivate the device and reboot, the cpu usage goes to normal 0% at idle. Any ideas? the laptop cpu is a Pentium iii at 800mhz, 128mb ram, 10gb hdd, 440bx chipset. i tried to use a usb dongle from tp-link and it works really fine and no cpu usage on idle. i am waiting for some lights soon. thank you. love you, intel.
