Hey Von,

Thanks for responding, and appreciate your help here.

To be specific, the regulatory information/database I'm referring to exists within the firmware/driver. I have since upgraded to the latest Windows 11 driver 23.40.0: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18649/intel-wireless-bluetooth-drivers-for-windows-10-and-windows-11.html

This is the output from the "WiFi Analyzer" app on Android (Pixel 6):

On the other hand, this is the scan output of inSSIDer on the Intel AX200. Notice that the 5 GHz channel does not show the "Apartemen 1&2 5G" network.

Regulatory update for Indonesia (channels 36-40)

Hi there,

I would like to bring to attention that the Intel AX200 seems to have out-of-date regulatory information in its firmware.

Since 2019, Indonesia now allows channels 36-40 to be used in addition to the original 149-161 on the 5 Ghz band, but it's not updated yet on Intel's side. We can't discover any networks on channels 36-40. We are using the latest available Windows 11 driver 23.30.0.6, and have also tried with Linux microcode iwlwifi-cc-a0-77.ucode.

See https://sdppi.kominfo.go.id/downloads/42/20200418142416-perdirjen_2019-02_WLAN.pdf for the authoritative source (in Bahasa Indonesia):

Other devices work, e.g. Google Pixel 6.

Can Intel update its regulatory database in the firmware/driver?

Hi, yjwong.

Thank you for posting in our Community and for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate your detailed explanation regarding the regulatory information discrepancy with the Intel AX200 firmware. We understand the importance of ensuring regulatory compliance, especially with recent changes in Indonesia allowing the use of channels 36-40 on the 5 GHz band since 2019.

However, to confirm the information provided, we require additional information regarding this matter. Could you please share a specific link to the intel website or intel documentation? This will allow us to double-check the information and make any necessary updates.

Looking forward to your response. Have a nice day!

Best regards,

Von M.

Intel Customer Support Technician
