AX201 Suddenly has error code 56

I was playing a video game on my laptop on the 6th of August and I suddenly lost connection, which is normal in my area. When I went to reconnect though the wifi panel was completely gone and I have been unable to figure out why this happened. I tried resetting the network but that didn't work either.

Update: I turned on show hidden devices and it said the hardware was not connected

The adapter may have failed, but let's try something before declaring it dead: shutdown the system and then disconnect from A/C power for a full 15 minutes (this amount of time is to fully drain power and to cool down the adapter).

Oh shoot, I forgot to mention this happened on my laptop. I'll let it sit for the time anyways just in case
