Low Upload Speed with Intel WiFi 6 AX201 160MHz

Hello Intel Community Experts,

I got a new ASUS laptop few months back (2024). I have a broadband connection that supports 100Mbps Download and 100Mbps Upload. But I am getting the Upload speed around 5-10 Mbps only.

This problem is happening only on my New ASUS Laptop. The old Non-ASUS laptop and my Mobile is giving 100Mbps for both Download and Upload.

I have gone through similar issues where the experts have asked for Log files, but there is no proper resolution given to anyone.

To speed up the resolution, I have attached the screenshot of my Wireless Driver along with Intel System Support Utility Log file for reference.

Let me know if you need any additional information from my end.

It could be the antenna setup to the Intel 201AX 160 MHz wifi card, default it only uses both antennas sometimes. There is a setting to get the card to use both antennas all the time. An Intel Moderator here revealed that here, wait for a Moderator to chime in and show what to do. I don't remember offhand where that post is.

@3FeesThanks for sharing your observation from the technical community here.

I have a 2 new updates to narrow down the problem.

1) Luckily this laptop is having Dual Boot. I tested Speed Test using Ubuntu on the same laptop and the Download/Upload speeds are coming accurate.

2) I tried using Wired LAN on this Laptop on Windows11 and got proper speed result for both Download and Upload.

Based on all my troubleshooting steps, I am narrowing down the problem to be issue with Intel WiFi drivers on Windows11. Now I will wait an valid answer from Intel Support Team or Moderator for next actions.

(I have one more additional troubleshooting step - My son also uses slightly different variant of ASUS TUF, I will review his laptop once its available with me)

I got a friendly email reminder from Intel Community to view responses and mark one as accepted solution.

BUMP - I am still waiting for someone from Intel Technical team to look into this thread and give me a response.

KNOCK KNOCK - I am still waiting to hear from Intel experts on this issue.

Meanwhile, I did one more troubleshooting - I tried the same on my Son's ASUS TUF Laptop (Model FX507ZC4) and Upload speed is working as expected on his Windows 11.

I also have ASUS TUF Laptop and my Model is FX507ZV4. In this model, I am getting Upload speed issue only on Windows11.
