Dear Community!

Because i haven't got any answers in the available topics, i ask it here. Is there any solution to wake a vpro compatible PC over WLAN? The wifi link is active when the PC is sleep or soft off. I can ping it and I can send the magic packet on it. BUT, the machine is woke up only from sleep. I can't woke it up from soft off (windows 10). With wired connection the WOL is worked any states, so the windows settings are correct, i think.

The machine is a Lenovo Thinkcentre M920q vpro, with Intel Core i5 8500T, and Intel AC9560.

Thank you!

Hello yodee13,

Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.

I just need to set your expectations that we have limited support for OEM laptop devices with Intel components. We can do basic troubleshooting including driver identification and installation however, if we need a deeper checking, you will still be routed to contact your system manufacturer support team.

I would like to know more about your system details to fully understand where the issue truly lies. Please confirm if this is the actual system device that you have: Lenovo M920q Desktop (ThinkCentre) - Type 10RS. Please also share the following:

1) Is this a first-time setup and WoWLAN has not worked before?

2) Can you please share your system configuration so I can fully check and provide you with an accurate fix. This could be possible by downloading the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* software. When the download is complete, launch SSU.exe.

Scan: Check the box Everything.

Click Scan.

Review: When finished scanning, click Next.

Click Save (.txt). *Attach the SSU log file as you reply.

I will wait for your reply.

Best regards,

JeanetteC.

Intel® Customer Support Technician

Dear Michael L!

I think You don't understand what i would like to. So I write it down once again. I have an PC (Thinkcentre M920q) with activated AMT features. Everything is work, exepct the Wake-On-WLAN. I can wake it up under http://ipaddress:16992/logon.htm

from any power states. But with magic packet i can wake it up only from sleep (S3), not from any other power state. I want to wake it up from soft-off(S5) as well. I hope I write it correctly and understandable.

Many thanks.

So you upgraded the new wifi card and installed it in your system by yourself?

Dear Michael L.

In the PC wasn't have wifi card by factory, only wired lan interface. I have made a research, that which wireless adapter recommended for this PC for vPro. On the official support page there is only one option, the Intel Wireless-AX 9560. So i bought one and installed it. After installing the required drivers the card is succesfully connected to my network, and i can reach the PC by wireless. I can ping it, i can reach the http://ipaddress:16992/logon.htm web page, i can woke it up from AMT web page, and i can woke it up by sending magic packet from my other PC or mobile, but it wokes up only from sleep (S3). It can't woke after i shutdown windows (deep sleep - S5).

Thanks
