Thank you for sharing the details of your setup and the issue you’re experiencing in our Community. Let’s work together to find a solution. Could you clarify what you mean by “Wi-Fi doesn’t start automatically at logon when you have an Ethernet connection”? Are you referring to the Windows login process? Kindly explain further about the logon you're referring to.

Additionally, does the Wi-Fi adapter start functioning if you disconnect the Ethernet cable? Did you install the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 driver directly from Intel’s website or through Windows Update?

When you try to start the Wi-Fi manually, do you encounter any error messages, yellow exclamation marks (!), or logs in the Device Manage

Furthermore, while you've shared details about your wireless model and driver version, I’d like to take it a step further by confirming additional information, such as your OS build number and any logged errors. Using the SSU tool can help gather this information, which would be valuable for troubleshooting

Have a nice day!

I’ve reviewed the log files you shared here in our community, and I can confirm there’s no issue opening them, everything looks good, and you extracted them correctly. To ensure I can proceed effectively and provide the best solution, could you please clarify what you mean by "Wi-Fi doesn’t start automatically at logon when you have an Ethernet connection"? Are you referring to the Windows login process? It would be helpful if you could elaborate on what you mean by "logon" in this context.

Also, does the Wi-Fi adapter function properly if you disconnect the Ethernet cable? Did you install the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 driver directly from Intel’s website or through Windows Update? Lastly, when you try to manually start the Wi-Fi, do you encounter any error messages, yellow exclamation marks (!), or logs in Device Manager?

Let me know so I can assist you further.

Best regards,

Von M.

Intel Customer Support Technician

When I start my pc I h ave an ethernet cable connected. I did configure windows to log me in immediately without having to type a password. Perhaps this could be the issue. I have no problem starting wifi after starting/loging in to my pc, but i need to do it manually. Thed script I use now has a delay stamp which makes it work. If I dont set a delay stamp, the script doesnt work. As a beginner I think that is the problem, the wifi adapter doesnt start automatically without the time stamp.

I have not tested if it works if I remove the automatic log on to windows at startup ( not sure how to do that), but I want the automatic logon, I am the only user.

There is no logs or yellow marks in device manager

Hi, svebje.

Thank you for sharing the details about your setup. It seems that the issue may be related to the timing of when your Wi-Fi adapter is initializing after Windows starts. Since you have configured Windows for automatic login, it's possible that the Wi-Fi adapter isn't fully initialized by the time your script runs. The delay stamp in your script likely compensates for this, ensuring the adapter is ready when the script executes.

If possible, could you please provide an image or video demonstrating the exact issue? I suspect there may be a problem with Windows.

Best regards,

Von M.

Intel Customer Support Technician

Hello, svebje.

Cool! Thank you for the detailed explanation. The delay in your script likely allows the Wi-Fi adapter enough time to initialize properly before the connection command runs. I opened the image you sent, but I apologize as I don't understand the language. Please note that I can only assist you in English. I’ve used a translation tool, so there may be some inaccuracies. Could you kindly change your device's language to English so I can better assist you?

I don't have an answer for you at the moment, but I’ll need to do some further research on this issue and will provide an update in this thread as soon as I have more information.

Hello, svebje.

I appreciate you for your patience in this matter. Given that Windows is configured for automatic login, it's possible that the Wi-Fi adapter has not fully initialized by the time your script executes. The delay included in your script likely accounts for this, providing sufficient time for the adapter to initialize before the script proceeds.

Kindly try the following:

1. In the search box, type Services.msc to open the Services window, which shows all the local services running on your system. Enable the Wired-Autoconfig Service (set it to Automatic or Manual) and click Apply.

2. Try using driver version 23.90.0 to see if there are any improvements or changes.

3. Reset the network by following these commands:

Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following commands one by one:

netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled

netsh winsock reset

netsh int ip reset

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

ipconfig /flushdns

4. Reset the network settings in Windows. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced network settings > Network reset.

5. Ensure that the option to allow the computer to turn off the device to save power is unchecked.

6. Follow the recommendations in the "Recommended Settings for 802.11ax Connectivity" article.

Also, I would like to know if you're connecting to a home or company network. Have you tried using a different access point?

Best regards,

Von M.

Intel Customer Support Technician
