Ax201 on NUC5PPYH not detected in Ubuntu 24.04LTS

So. Ubuntu 24.04LTS, kernel 6.8.52 doesn't detect the AX201 on my NUC5PPYH.

I've tried - well - a lot: updating firmware, running on a USB.

Can't figure out how to make it work..

You are right, it doesn't detect it and it never will. The NUC5PPYH does not have a chipset that supports this (or any other) CNVio device. You need a non-CNVio device (AX200 or AX210, for example) instead.

Thanks for that - I suspected as much.
I've been in contact with both Intel and then ASUS to get some documentation on the NUC.
They're just referring to that the other should have it...

From my archive, I've attached the Technical Product Specifications and the Integration and User's Guides for the three related products.

The NUC5CPYH is essentially a NUC5PPYH with a Celeron instead of a Pentium. The NUC5PGYH (which is what I have) is a NUC5PPYH with an embedded 32GB eMMC added. It comes with Windows 10 Home preinstalled. If you disable the NUC5PGYH's eMMC in BIOS, you essentially have a NUC5PPYH.
