Hi,

i have an Alienware laptop that has the e5000 controller. until last week when i did a speed test, i would get speeds well above the 1g internet speed DL i was supposed to get.

Last week i changed internet package from 1g to 2g. i didnt need to, but it was actually cheaper for 9 months....then the get me when i forget. with the new speed came a new router, 2 service tech visits and numerous hours of my time trying to learn about this issue. the internet is working perfect, everywhere but my laptop. i uninstalled the e5000 and the killer wireless BE1750xd (BE200NGW). i rebootered my laptop, after it booted up i looked and the controller and wifi components were back in the device manager. i tried a speed test...after a full 2g!!

After about 30 seconds i heard a sound, like you get after something is trying to connect but then stops. i head that, i then was curious....speed was only 253-330 mbps??

the equipment works, im sure i have something turned on or off??? but im confused? i added all of the details of my system if that may help

TY,

Squirl
