Hello,

since last week I've been having a problem with my Intel AC 9560 160 Mhz wireless adapter that is installed on my Asus ROG Strix G731GW laptop. It can connect to virtually any WiFi network except that it cannot connect to two WiFi networks that I use at my home. I've checked the Device Manager and the error message is something like this :

Nazwa dziennika:Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-PnP/Configuration
Źródło: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-PnP
Data: 19.04.2026 17:08:55
Identyfikator zdarzenia:411
Kategoria zadania:Brak
Poziom: Błędy
Słowa kluczowe:
Użytkownik: SYSTEM
Komputer: Komputerziom
Opis:
Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A370&SUBSYS_00348086&REV_10\3&11583659&1&A3 had a problem starting.

Driver Name: oem112.inf
Class Guid: {4d36e972-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}
Service: Netwtw08
Lower Filters:
Upper Filters: vwifibus
Problem: 0x0
Problem Status: 0xC00000E5
Kod XML zdarzenia:
<Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">
<System>
<Provider Name="Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-PnP" Guid="{9c205a39-1250-487d-abd7-e831c6290539}" />
<EventID>411</EventID>
<Version>0</Version>
<Level>2</Level>
<Task>0</Task>
<Opcode>0</Opcode>
<Keywords>0x4000000000000000</Keywords>
<TimeCreated SystemTime="2026-04-19T15:08:55.6260529Z" />
<EventRecordID>2738</EventRecordID>
<Correlation />
<Execution ProcessID="4" ThreadID="13368" />
<Channel>Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-PnP/Configuration</Channel>
<Computer>Komputerziom</Computer>
<Security UserID="S-1-5-18" />
</System>
<EventData>
<Data Name="DeviceInstanceId">PCI\VEN_8086&amp;DEV_A370&amp;SUBSYS_00348086&amp;REV_10\3&amp;11583659&amp;1&amp;A3</Data>
<Data Name="DriverName">oem112.inf</Data>
<Data Name="ClassGuid">{4d36e972-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}</Data>
<Data Name="ServiceName">Netwtw08</Data>
<Data Name="LowerFilters">
</Data>
<Data Name="UpperFilters">vwifibus</Data>
<Data Name="Problem">0x0</Data>
<Data Name="Status">0xc00000e5</Data>
</EventData>
</Event>

(excuse me for not everything being in English - the computer is set to my native language)

I have tried to change the driver version (that's why I am using a driver from 2022 instead of the newest version - I thought this is a driver problem), uninstall and reinstall the adapter itself, but to no avail. How could I fix this?

Hi Windows96,

Thank you for reaching out.

I understand that you're experiencing connectivity issues with your Intel® Wireless-AC 9560 160MHz adapter on your ASUS ROG Strix G731GW laptop, where it can connect to most WiFi networks but cannot connect to two specific WiFi networks at your home.

To help resolve this issue effectively, let's start with a clean driver installation.

Please perform a clean installation of the latest OEM driver for your Intel® Wireless-AC 9560:

Important: First disconnect from internet connection to prevent Windows from automatically installing drivers during the process.

Download the latest driver from ASUS support website for your ROG Strix G731GW model

Uninstall current driver:

Right-click Start → Device Manager

Expand Network Adapters

Right-click Intel® Wireless-AC 9560 → Uninstall device

Check "Delete the driver software for this device"

Click Uninstall

Repeat steps until the option to Delete the driver software for this device is greyed out.

Restart your system

Install the downloaded OEM driver

Restart again

You can check this link for more detailed information: Clean Installation of Wireless Drivers

If the issue persists after the clean installation, please provide the following information:

When did you start encountering this issue? Have there been any recent changes to your system (Windows updates, software installations, hardware changes)?

Is this the original wireless adapter that came with your laptop, or was it replaced/upgraded?

Are you seeing any specific error codes in Device Manager for the wireless adapter?

When you mention "it can connect to virtually any WiFi network," could you clarify - have you tested with different access points or various WiFi networks outside your home?

Can other devices (smartphones, tablets, other laptops) successfully connect to these two Wi-Fi networks at your home?

Please also provide Intel System Support Utility (SSU) logs:

Download Intel SSU from: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005511.html

Run the utility as Administrator

Click "Everything" then "Scan"

Save the report and attach it to your response

These details will help me provide more targeted troubleshooting steps for your specific situation.

We're looking forward to your response.

Best regards

Jonzyl B.

Intel Customer Support Technician

Hello!

Thanks for the quick reply and provided steps.

I have tried clean installing the driver you provided to me, but to no avail - the issue still persists. And finally, when I tried to connect to both of my home networks, it shows the code 411 (that the PCI device "had a problem starting"). And I think that when I connect to other networks, it shows the code 400 (that the PCI device was configured).

4. I have tested it multiple times.

Hi Windows96,

Thank you for your patience while we investigated this matter.

Based on our analysis, if your system is able to connect to other access points successfully, this suggests the issue may be related to your specific AP configuration. However, the error logs indicate this could also be a driver-related problem.

Could you please try the following troubleshooting steps:

Reset your access point settings to default

Perform a network reset on your Windows laptop (Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network reset)

Additionally, I'd like to gather some more information:

Was this system previously able to connect to this particular network successfully?

If it was working before, have there been any recent changes to your system (Windows updates, driver updates, software installations, etc.)?

These details will help us determine whether this is a configuration issue or if something has changed that's causing the connectivity problem.

We look forward to your response.

Best regards

Jonzyl B.

Intel Customer Support Technician
