Hi guardao,

I understand you're experiencing difficulties with Bluetooth functionality despite having the Wi-Fi driver version 24.40.0 installed. Error Code 43 typically indicates that Device Manager cannot start the hardware device, and this commonly occurs after Windows updates that include Wi-Fi or Bluetooth components.

To further troubleshoot the issue, please try to follow the outlined steps below.

1. Install all available Windows Updates.

2. Perform a Clean installation of Bluetooth drivers: How to Perform a Clean Installation of Bluetooth Drivers

Go to Device Manager.

Expand the Network Adapters category.

Right-click your Intel Bluetooth Adapter and choose to uninstall it.

Make sure to the option to Delete the driver software for this device is selected.

Repeat steps A through D until the the option to Delete the driver software for this device is greyed out.

3. Once the driver is uninstalled, proceed to install the latest driver available 24.40.0

4. Reboot the PC

5. Update system BIOS to the latest version, or reset BIOS to defaults

6. Perform a cold reboot

Laptop cold reboot with removable battery

Turn off the laptop, and unplug the power cord.

Disconnect any peripheral devices then remove the computer from any port replicator or docking station.

Remove the battery from the computer.

With the battery and power cord unplugged, press and hold the Power button for approximately 15 seconds.

After you drain the capacitors, re-insert the battery, then plug in the power cord. Leave peripheral devices disconnected.

Turn on the laptop.

Laptop cold reboot with a non-removable battery

Turn off the laptop.

Disconnect the AC adapter.

Disconnect all nonessential peripheral devices, such as printers, scanners, external hard drives, and USB flash drives.

With the AC adapter unplugged, press and hold the power button for approximately 15 seconds.

Reconnect the AC adapter then turn on the computer.

Desktop cold reboot

Turn off the computer.

Unplug all the cables from the back of the computer.

Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then release it to discharge remaining power. Clearing the CMOS battery is optional.

Reconnect all cables back again and turn on your computer.

You may also check this article for more information: Error Codes 10, 22, 28, 31, 43, or 45 in Device Manager for Bluetooth® or Wireless (Wi-Fi) Devices

If the issue persists, please share the additional information below for further investigation.

1. Search using the Hardware ID and manually install the correct driver that matches your operating system version.

In case the issue is still observed, I recommend reaching out to the system manufacturer to verify the compatibility of the Wi-Fi card with them.

Additionally, could you please confirm if the issue you’re experiencing is only related to Bluetooth?

if you have any questions, please let me know.

Best regards

Jed G.

Intel Customer Support Technician

Hello Jed,

Sorry, but I've tried all the suggested solutions without success.

I keep getting error code 43, and Bluetooth is the cause.

So my problem is only with BLUETOOTH.

In addition, there's another problem I can't solve:

The 6 GHz band it only indicates a maximum speed of 61 Mbps.

With the 320 Mbps option selected on the router, only reaches 160 MHz (80 + 80).

This might be related to some installation problem or with my internet provider.

If you have any suggestions to overcome this, I would appreciate it.

Thank you in advance for your attention.

I look forward to further updates.

Guardao

PS: Is it possible that the card is only defective in the Bluetooth area? If so, how can I test this?

Hi guardao,

Thank you for your feedback. Based on what you’ve shared, it looks like you’re encountering issues with both Bluetooth (error code 43) and Wi‑Fi, with the connection speed only reaching up to 61 Mbps.

I'll further investigate this matter with my team and I'll give you another update as soon as it's available.

Best regards

Jed G.

Intel Customer Support Technician
