Hello WellConnected,

Thank you for the update.

It's great to hear that the issue was resolved after performing a clean installation.

A clean driver install can often fix problems caused by remnants of older driver versions or related software that didn't get removed properly. Sometimes, corrupted or conflicting files from previous installations can remain on the system and interfere with updates, leading to unexpected behavior. Starting with a fresh installation ensures the drivers are installed correctly and helps eliminate those potential conflicts.

Nonetheless, since the initial issue has been resolved, I will now close this inquiry. If you need further assistance, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.

Best regards,

Jed G.

Intel Customer Support Technician

Intel AX210 Upload Speed Issues

Hi,

I've got an Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX210 160MHz network adapter experiencing an issue with upload speeds.

I'm getting decent download speeds, but my upload speeds are only sitting at around 1-2mb/s

I have put a laptop at the same location with a different Wi-Fi chip, connected to the same network, same band, no issues getting 40mb/s.

I have had the issue over a few different driver versions - I am currently on 24.50.0.4 released 20/05/2026.

I've tried on specific 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks and haven't had any improvement.

Currently it's connected to a Ubiquiti WAP with band steering (same network as the previously mentioned laptop).

I've tried connecting to hotspot and getting the same results, I'm thinking it may be something to do with the drivers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello WellConnected,

Based on everything you've shared, the issue does appear to be isolated to the Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX210 adapter itself, and you're right that the driver or adapter configuration could be a contributing factor. Let's work through some targeted steps to get your upload speeds back to where they should be.

1. Check for pending Windows update

2. Make sure to update the BIOS to latest version

3. Follow Recommended Settings for 802.11ax Connectivity and Advanced Intel® Wireless Adapter Settings

4. Test with a Different Frequency Band Configuration on the Ubiquiti WAP

If the issue persists after performing the steps above, please share the information below for further investigation.

1. Did you perform a clean installation of driver version 24.50.0.4?

2. Is this the original wireless adapter that came pre-installed with the system, or was a new adapter installed/replaced recently?

3. Were you previously able to connect to wireless networks with normal/expected performance before this issue started?

4. Do you recall whether the issue began after a Windows/OS update or a wireless driver update?

5. Does the issue occur at home, in the office, or in both environments?

6. Is the system a laptop or desktop?

If it is a laptop, please provide the full make and model number.

I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Jed G.

Intel Customer Support Technician

Sorry Jed,

For some reason the email alerts were going into my spam folder.

I've just done a clean install of it, and it seems to have resolved the issue, very strange that the same driver had an issue when upgrading, but was fine on a clean install.

Hopefully that's the end of the issues.

Thanks for your assistance!
