Hi all,
From VTune documentation , it is said that CPI level of 0.75 is very good and 4.0 is poor. I have been getting CPI value of about 25 for my ethernet nic module, then I removed the driver and got a better driver installed, then my performance from CPI improved to 19. Actually my test improved , but I really want to know the if the VTune documented level for CPI holds for all hardwra modules. I also do see up to 6 for other modules.
Thanks

CPI target levels are over-emphasized for normal user code. I don't see how they could be applied to hardware drivers.

Hi,
thank you for the feedback. How then can I determine the performance of a hardware using VTune.
