My computer hard drive is very low on space.
Can I install VTunes on my USB drive and run it from there or will this cause a degradation of the performance that it is trying to measure?
It depends on your USB device's speed, but I would like to suggest to read/write vtune data in your local driver.

1) export VTUNE_GLOABL_DIR=
2) export VTUNE_USER_DIR=
