LICENSE CHECK FAILED

Hello,

I recently purchased Intel® VTune Amplifier XE for Linux* - Named-user during my free trial.

I went to use the amplxe gui today and received the following error.

"License check failed Intel® VTune Amplifier XE cannot find valid license.  Data cannot be displayed."

I'm assuming I received the error because my free trial had expired.  I have a valid license key in my purchase email but not a file to set the env variable INTEL_LICENSE_FILE.

How do I obtain the file so I can point INTEL_LICENSE_FILE env variable to it?

Or do I have to do a fresh install (which I'm trying to avoid)?

Please advise.

Thanks,

Eric S.

Hi Eric S.

No, you don't have to re-install.  Please see #5 on this page.  After you receive your license file, just put it in the same location as the current eval license, i.e., the directory the INTEL_LICENSE_FILE variable specifies.

Unfortunately, this does not work for me. I have done this multiple times. VTune, Inspector, Advisor, all give me the same message despite this. Please help!

Thanks,
Sindhu

A soft reminder is to delete trial license file in same directory and have a retry.
