Lack of Ivy Bridge support in current VTune

Slide 9 of https://software.intel.com/sites/default/files/Using_Intel_VTune_Amplifier_XE_on_3rd_Generation_Intel_Core_Processors_1.0.pdf

shows a Sandy Bridge/Ivy Bridge Analysis category of pre-configured profiles.  However, with the XE2015 Update 2, there are categories for Sandy Bridge and Haswell, but none (besides General) which work for Ivy Bridge (see attached).   Which version of VTune, if any, is recommended for Ivy Bridge Memory Access analysis on

Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E7-8893 v2 @ 3.40GHz CPU?

Hi Tim:

To be clear, Ivy Bridge is totally supported by the VTune Ampifier XE 2015 Update 2.  There are simply no CPU-specific analysis types - General Exploration and Bandwidth analysis types include all data needed to tune on Ivy Bridge processors.  Note: if you are tuning on server platforms, you should look at the tuning guide for the microarchitecture code name Ivy Bridge-E* (server)

After a brief look, I don't see any issues.  We've tried to hide the complexity by creating the General Exploration analysis type for each new architecture and highlighting potential tuning opportunities.  The tuning guides describe these opportunities and how to use the tool to identify them and determine if any action should be taken.  Yes, the images are old in the year-old document you refer to, but the description of the bottlenecks and using the tool to identify them are still accurate.
