Setting sampling rate via command line when using amplxe-cl?

Hi Intel,

How do we set the sampling rate during hotspot sampling to something higher when running our server processes via the command line amplxe-cl program? We cant find a command line option to do so.

Hi,

We do not allow changing the sample rate for the Hotspot analysis collection. The reason is that we have chosen a sample rate which is a good compromise between overhead/disturbance and the statistical correctness of data. In case you need a higher resolution, use the lightweight-hotspots playing with the Sample After value (SAV) for the CPU clockticks event. But be careful - too frequent sampling may hang the system.
