After I installed the update 3 of Intel Inspector 2017, it fails with unknown error. It does not matter what analysis type I have and this is the same project that worked fine with update 2.
Error: An internal error has occurred. Our apologies for this inconvenience. Please gather a description of the steps leading up to the problem and contact the Intel customer support team.

The problem on my system appears to be an interaction with Avast AV. I added an exclusion filter and this fixed the pin issue.
