Hi,
I'm trying to evaluate VTuneAmplifier, using the version that is included with the System Studio 2018 installation.
All the analysis types that depend on the VTSS++ driver are not available.
When I try to install the driver using the command amplxe-sepreg.exe -i I get the following output:
Installing and starting socperf2_0...
FAILED
Reason: The socperf2_0 driver may not be properly signed; error code: 577
Installing and starting VTSS++ driver...FAILED
It seems like this is an old issue that was supposed to have been fixed a long time ago, but is this re-introduced in the latest version of VTune Amplifier 2018?
Is there a way to obtain a signed version of this driver?
I found the thread mentioning the workaround to disable Secure Boot on my machine, but I'd like to avoid exposing my machine to attacks.
Thanks,
Ran

Hi Ran,
Signed drivers compatible with Secure Boot included into the VTune Amplifier 2019 version.
You can wait for Intel System Studio 2019 relase or download a standalone evaluation copy: https://software.intel.com/en-us/vtune/choose-download#standalone
It will work with your Intel System Studio license as well.
