hi
I used the Vtune to analyse the demo program "gsexample2a" in
several environments, but all the results are "CPU loding is 9X% on
java several hours"
than show the message "Failed to create
sampleing data base. Probably .tb5 files are corrupted or don't
exist"

How can I resolve the problem ?

Environment 1:
The version of Vtune is v8.0.1
OS : Fedora 4.0 and SUSE 10
CPU : celeron
Memory : 765MB

Environment 2:
The version of Vtune is v8.0.1
OS : SUSE 10
CPU : Centrino Duo
Memory : 1G

As the current supported version of VTuneis 8.0.4, presumably a lot of bug fixes have come in in the mean time. One of the problems with FC is rapid obsolescense,so no one would be supporting FC4 currently. SuSE 10 covers a very wide range, and I am not competent to guess which versions are closest to being supported. If you are willing to use the current supported version of VTune, you may get better answers by filling out a report on premier.intel.com and giving the requested detail.

Hi

VTune 8.0.4 is now the recent version with support of FC4. Can you please try it in your environment.

In case the problem still exists I would appreciate you submit this issue to Intel Premier DB with details, like logs collected with vtqfagent.

regards, Andrei
