Hi Folks,
Is there a mobaxterm equivalent for mac users? Have folks been able to successfully use their mac machines for doing work on devcloud for RTL work and test out on FPGA?
I am a MAC user and was wondering if I should switch to a PC for using devcloud.

I have found an alternate source for the x2goclient executable for mac that seems to work.
https://code.x2go.org/releases/
I installed the 10_13 version.

Hi,
Yes, DevCloud platform does support MAC OS.
Have you tried to follow the steps in the Dev Cloud platform? The setup does allow MAC users to connect as well.
Here is the snippet of the instructions:
Welcome, please follow the next 4 steps to get your environment up and running.
Step 1: Download SSH Client
Windows with MobaXtermNote: Make sure to download the Home installer edition, not the portable edition.
Alternatives:
- Windows* with Cygwin (preferred)
- Linux* or macOS (SSH client)
Please follow the steps and let me know if you have any issues with it.

Hi Hazlina,
I have been able to do the following already:
- ssh and do scp with my xterm on the MAC.
- source devcloudLoginToolSetup.sh
- run the devcloud_login command
I have the following questions regarding step 3)
- What does PAC compilation mean?
- What does RTL AFU mean?
Secondly, How do I install tcsh? It does not seem that tcsh is installed by default.

Hi Hazlina,
Can you also provide a link for X2go for MAC that works? I tried to download X2GO client for MAC and install it but my MAC does not run the app due to suspected malware.
The link provided here does not work: https://github.com/intel/FPGA-Devcloud/tree/master/main/Devcloud_Access_Instructions#52-login-script
I used this link: http://code.x2go.org/releases/X2GoClient_latest_macosx_10_13.dmg
I get the following message: “x2goclient” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified.

Hi Hazlina,
I am able to install x2goclient by changing settings on my MAC. However when I try to launch x2go by double clicking on 'new session' x2go gives an error.
I have provided screenshots.
