We were invited to the project to scope out, design and integrate the latest in technological advancements expected to help residents age more independently. But the project was not to be. I learned last week that the developers’ plans have unraveled under alleged financial difficulties between investors. Such a shame because the project held promise as being a showcase for how technology can bring greater independence to ageing seniors. Good news is this wasn’t our only telemedicine project: our successful Tel Hashomer Hospice project in Israel and another I’ll be blogging about shortly in Ireland are demonstrating how Intel technology can help make life better. In the meantime, we’ll continue striving for the best projects and look for ways to learn from this one.
