The Internet of Things (IoT) is generating unprecedented opportunities for the US public and private sectors to develop new services, enhance productivity and efficiency, improve real-time decision making, solve critical societal problems, and develop new and innovative user experiences.

These transformational opportunities will significantly impact the entire marketplace spanning industrial, commercial, and consumer IoT use cases from manufacturing and transportation to utilities and healthcare – fueling GDP, creating new jobs and bolstering the US economy.

And US companies are well-positioned to enable these cutting-edge, technology-driven solutions.  Indeed, a recent study shows that 15 of the top 20 IoT companies are US-based.

Intel commends Senators Schatz (D-HI), Fischer (R-NE), Ayotte (R-NH) and Booker (D-NJ) for their leadership in submitting a resolution calling for a national vision to promote economic growth, thus ensuring that US innovation will remain at the forefront of the IoT economy.
