Meghan Peterson, Marketing Specialist, DPG Marketing Campaigns, Hillsboro, ORWhere did you graduate from?
I studied marketing and supply chain at the University of South Carolina and graduated in May 2019. My junior year of college I interned at Intel in Santa Clara, and I returned full-time at Intel in Hillsboro immediately following graduation.
How did you hear about Intel?
I had been exposed to Intel technology many times during my life, whether I knew it or not. However, I initially became fascinated with Intel after reading an article about one of the brand's early campaigns and discovered Intel's history of marketing creativity and brand innovation. I haven't looked back since!
What attracted you to Intel?
I wanted to support technology that makes a real difference in people's lives. As a new graduate, I wanted to work at Intel because of its incredibly collaborative culture, marketing vision, and emphasis on providing career resources, networking, and mentorship opportunities.
What’s one unexpected thing you learned about Intel after you started?
I was excited to learn first-hand how valued interns and new graduates are to the company. During my first year, I have seen how willing people are to help me learn and grow in my career. One of my favorite parts of working at Intel is that everyone is truly given a seat at the table to share their diverse thoughts—they are interested in the perspective I bring to the conversation.
What has your experience been at Intel?
Intel was the ideal place for me to start my career because of the incredible people I work with. I am so thankful to have a supportive team that teaches me more every single day and pushes me to grow professionally. Because of the resources Intel provides for new graduates, I've felt confident my first year full-time and ready to take on the next!

I graduated from the University of Portland, class of 2019.
How did you hear about Intel?
I learned about Intel at a young age—I grew up in the Silicon Valley and had parents who worked in the tech industry. I remember seeing the Intel badge on computers in my elementary school and hearing the bong in commercials.
What attracted you to Intel?
I was looking for an internship between my junior and senior year of college and the tech industry was something I was interested in. When I heard about Intel’s internship program, I immediately applied. Intel’s long history and reputation really drove my desire to intern here.
What’s one unexpected thing you learned about Intel after you started?
Though it might sound cliché, I was surprised by how welcoming and kind people were. I met employees from all over the company during my internship, learning about different career paths, jobs, and business groups. I was also surprised to see how much opportunity there is within one company.
What has your experience been at Intel?
The experience has been nothing short of amazing. Having a strong support system—my manager, coworkers, and peers—was critical to my onboarding and beginning a successful career early on.
Zoe Cayetano, AI/DL Technical Product Manager, San Francisco, CAWhere did you graduate from?
I went to Arizona State University for a dual-major and graduated with bachelors’ degrees in applied physics and business.
How did you hear about Intel?
Intel put silicon into Silicon Valley—and working in tech has always been a dream!
What attracted you to Intel?
Growing up, my dream was always to become an entrepreneur and create something that could change the world. I’ve been attracted to the technology industry since I observed the amount of positive impact you could have with it. Intel has always been at the heart and soul of technology and innovation. During my internship at Intel, I landed in a group that was a happy medium of operating as a startup with the impact and credibility of a big organization. The role was nimble, empowering me to take on projects that interested me in areas where I wanted to grow in my career.
What’s one unexpected thing you learned about Intel after you started?
I didn’t expect being able to still be an entrepreneur within a big organization. Off the bat, during my internship, I was given high-impact, high-visibility projects that allowed me to learn fast and insert myself in even more opportunities.
What has your experience been at Intel?
Since graduating in 2019, I have taken a full-time role at Intel within the same organization, working on AI developer tools and applications. Intel invests in its people as much as it invests in its business. You notice that more explicitly with the heightened situation in 2020. I have had the breadth of opportunity where there hasn’t been any two days that have felt the same to me. I’ve also been able to make an impact, change the way we do things, and have a voice in every meeting, regardless of how young or new I am. Intel truly embraces diversity at its core and invests deeply in its people.
