A member of our Sales and Marketing Group explains why every day is exciting – and why Gdansk is a great place to grow a rewarding career.

Meet Galin Dimov, a sales manager at Intel Poland. He works with customers from around EMEA, matching them with the Intel products, technologies, and solutions that will help their businesses thrive.

We recently spoke with Galin about his career, the exciting nature of his group, and why Intel Poland is an ideal place to grow a career – regardless of what country you’re from.

What does your team do?
Our team in Gdansk, Poland consists of around 70 amazing people covering the entire EMEA region. We have a number of roles ranging from technical (engineers) to business sales roles. We are industry experts and our goal is to match Intel’s offerings to our customers’ needs and help them capitalize on market opportunities.

We influence the adoption of the whole portfolio of Intel technology - data center, client computing, storage, networking, cloud solutions, FPGA, security, and more.

We treat our customers as our partners and have strong, long-term relationships that we maintain every day.

What is your team like?
It’s a very dynamic and quite young team. It is also one of the most diverse in terms of multinationalism. We have people from all around the globe – from Argentina, throughout France, Germany, Italy and United Kingdom, to Israel and Russia. It’s a remarkable team full of amazing people, and I feel privileged to be a part of it.

What does your ordinary day look like?
We use a lot of technology every day. We try to close the bridge between the customer and us, and understand our customers better, through frequent meetings via video and phone. We practice social selling techniques using LinkedIn and other social media tools. An important part of our job is to show that we are experts in our field, so we work on our personal branding every day.

We also participate in some great industry events like Mobile World Congress, Intel Partner Connect, and Cloud Fest. From time to time we visit our customers, so we travel throughout Europe.

What do you like the most about your job?
I must admit that I never felt so proud of my work before I joined Intel’s sales team. It simply allowed me to experience firsthand how Intel’s technologies are changing the world by working directly with our customers.

Intel is a huge company; you are the part of this amazing technological development happening in front of your eyes. You never stop learning and you also help to transfer all those technological gains into your customers’ businesses. Working with them to find the best solution for their problems, you directly add value to your end customer. You also see a direct impact of Intel’s work on the business. You can feel true empowerment when you join Intel sales. With this job, I understand how much of this world wouldn’t be possible without Intel. I can’t imagine getting this feeling at any other company.

And when it comes to personal development the sky is the limit as there is something new to learn every day.

What would you say to people considering moving to Poland from other countries?
I came to Gdansk from England 11 years ago, and if you ask me today, I would not go back! Life in Poland is good, income versus expenses is very balanced and the country has one of the fastest growing economies in Europe. Gdansk is a wonderful city situated on the Baltic seaside. The city is very clean, and you feel that you are living in a modern European city with many things to do. It is considered to be one of the best places to live in Poland.

What makes for the ideal job candidate for Sales and Marketing Group?
We are looking for motivated people passionate about technology and sales who are willing to go the extra mile every day on behalf of our customers.

Additionally, language fluency is extremely helpful — and in some cases mandatory. We’re currently looking for French, German, Russian, Italian, Spanish, and Arabic speakers.

We are looking for people who have the motivation to be part of something big and help us achieve our mission: “Create world-changing technology that enriches the lives of every person on Earth.”
