Inside of Intel we have been sharing countless stories of our colleagues making a difference during the coronavirus pandemic. Employees donating their time, energy, and resources to meet the needs of their communities right now. Here is another collection of Intel Heros, a series dedicated to sharing some of the remarkable ways employees, our Intel heroes, are helping.
Intel Arizona
Chris is part of a network of over 30 employees in Arizona making 100+ face shield per week with 3D printers for healthcare workers. With the help of community manager, Theresa Niemeyer, employees without 3D printers now have a way to help too. They are assembling the 3D printed parts and making personal cards of encouragement to be delivered with every shield. Recently the team was able to coordinate a donation to the Navajo Nation, which is in great need of supplies.

Intel Oregon
Suzi Jewett and her husband Jason’s ramen food truck, is serving the community of Forest Grove, Oregon, every Sunday by handing out bowls of hot chicken shoyu ramen soup to anyone that comes by. In the last four weeks, they’ve distributed nearly 250 blessing bowls and partnered with local teachers to take meals to families in need. On April 21, they served 12 hours and gave away 500 bowls of ramen and 1200 gyoza to first responders at St. Vincent’s Medical Center with financial support of amazing people in their community. See more of their story.

Intel Ireland
Intel Ireland is supporting those who most need it right now. Employees from Corporate Services (CS) brought sleep pods and massage chairs from the Intel campus to Beaumont hospital. The equipment has been loaned to the hospital for the coming weeks so that staff can take a well-earned break during their busy days and nights.

Intel Folsom
Keith Bushell, Christopher Sant, Clark Shueh, and Russ Brown are deployed with the City of Folsom Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) to help operate a COVID-19 testing center in Sacramento, California. They offer their CERT skills every day to help keep us safe on the Intel Folsom campus, and now they are answering the call of duty for the broader Sacramento Community.
Thank you to Chris, Suzi, Intel Ireland CS, and Folsom ERT for stepping up in your local community. Stay tuned for more stories of Intel employees serving their communities. We are all in this together.
