BittWare IA-840F FPGA Accelerator PCIe Card bristles with high-speed I/O, is based on an Intel® Agilex™ FPGA

The BittWare IA-840F FPGA Accelerator PCIe Card bristles with high-performance I/O capabilities including two QSFP-DD optical cages (together capable of supporting four 100G Ethernet ports), a PCIe Gen4 x16 host interface, and three MCIO expansion ports for diverse applications. The MCIO ports can be used for high-bandwidth, low-latency, board-to-board communications or for high-speed connections to peripheral devices such as NVMe storage. The board also incorporates three memory DIMM sockets that together can accommodate as much as 384 Gbytes of DDR4 SDRAM.

These multiple, high-speed I/O and memory capabilities directly stem from an on-board Intel® Agilex™ FPGA, which also equips the board with a large amount of programmable logic – nearly 2.7 million programmable logic elements. You can develop and deploy high-speed hardware accelerators for a wide range of computing workloads using the Intel Agilex FPGA’s programmable logic and a variety of Intel® FPGA design and workload development tools.

“The IA-840F ensures that customers can quickly and easily exploit the advanced features of the Intel Agilex FPGA. For those customers who prefer to develop FPGA applications at an abstracted level, we are including support for oneAPI. This new unified software programming environment allows customers to program the Intel Agilex FPGA from a single code base with native high-level language performance across architectures.” said Craig Petrie, vice president of marketing for BittWare.

Additionally, BittWare has developed an HDL developer toolkit for the IA-840F FPGA Accelerator PCIe Card, which consists of an API, PCIe drivers, application example designs, and a diagnostic self-test.
