Telehealth is a transformative and equalizing force in healthcare. This technology enables people around the world to access the care they need when they need it. Technology provides an opportunity to change this.
New technology, such as telehealth technology, enables volunteer physicians to virtually evaluate and diagnose patients, consult with healthcare professionals across the world, and establish lasting relationships without ever needing to travel.
Access to this technology is transformational. In-country physicians are expanding their knowledge and learning skills that they would otherwise have to travel out of country to experience. In turn, volunteer physicians have a fulfilling opportunity to give back from the comfort of their own home or office and learn from physicians practicing medicine in different parts of the world.
Furthermore, because of the advancements in technology, there are now unlimited opportunities to expand healthcare access and reach every corner of the world in need, at the fraction of the typical cost.
