At the heart of Bezoku’s mission is the desire to increase representation in language models, focusing on low-resource languages and dialects. As an Intel® Liftoff member, Bezoku is ensuring that AI systems are inclusive and accessible to underserved communities worldwide.
Mainstream language models primarily cater to widely spoken languages. Bezoku’s work stands as a critical step toward creating a more equitable future in AI.
In this featured video, Bezoku unpacks the journey of developing custom transformers - advanced AI models - designed to represent a broader range of languages and dialects.
These transformers are built from scratch using a combination of open-source datasets and proprietary data from strategic partners. Bezoku’s approach isn’t just about language - it’s about fostering deeper, more visceral connections between non-native speakers and the technology they interact with, especially in areas like financial literacy and sensitive communications.

Intel’s role in this process has been pivotal. Through the Intel® Liftoff program, Bezoku gained access to world-class resources, including Intel® Tiber™ AI Cloud on Intel® Data Center GPU Max Series, high-performance GPUs tailored for intense data center applications, designed to accelerate AI and HPC workloads.

This access allows them to experiment with the latest in AI and machine learning technology, benchmarking their models against the best in the industry.
Moreover, tools like Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit ensure that Bezoku’s models work seamlessly across different platforms, optimizing performance and scalability.
Bezoku’s participation in events like the Intel AI Summit and multiple Intel
® Liftoff hackathons have also played a role in showcasing their innovation.

With Intel® Liftoff virtual hackathon mentors and engineers operating in high availability mode, we accelerated our product engineering with hackathon code that will likely end up in our final production deployments. From the drawing board to working code in one week was only made possible due to skill and dedication of the whole Intel® hackathon team.
