Over 93% of the worlds data runs on Intel’s Xeon scalable processors and today with the launch of our latest 3rd Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, we are delivering Intel’s highest performant main stream datacenter CPU, that is built to serve all workloads from the edge to the network to the cloud. The latest 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors provide a balanced architecture with built-in AI and crypto acceleration and advanced security capabilities, designed through decades of innovation for the most in-demand workload requirements. With an unmatched lineup of processors, accelerators, and memory, we offer the most pervasive platform on the market—delivering everything customers need to move data where it needs to be and quickly store and process it.

We know data center architects must build for the needs of today while planning for the unknown demands of the future. Optimized for cloud, AI, enterprise, HPC, network, security and IoT workloads, Intel Xeon processors come with 8 to 40 powerful cores and a wide range of frequency, features, and power levels to service a variety of workloads anywhere and anytime across multiple clouds. New benefits include PCIe-Gen4 support, 8 channels of memory, and memory capacity per processor up to 6TB per processor/socket. And we’re delivering impressive performance increases across image classification, virtualization, data analytics, forward packet processing for networking, and so much more.

Built-in AI Acceleration and Advanced Security

AI isn’t just for “born in the cloud” companies. The most established industries are leveraging it to drive value—from food recommendations at Burger King, to battling COVID at Mercy Health, to assisting disaster relief at the Red Cross, among countless others, AI is being used everywhere.

Intel Xeon processors are the only x86 data center CPU with built-in AI acceleration, leveraging our DL Boost technology, to support end-to-end data science tools and a vast ecosystem of smart solutions. From a performance perspective, they offer up to 1.5x higher performance vs. AMD EPYC 7763 and up to 1.3x higher performance vs. NVIDIA A100, across a broad set of 20 AI workloads.1

Intel’s latest 3rd Gen processors also build upon our leadership position in reducing the cost for pervasive encryption. With Intel Crypto Acceleration, we are delivering breakthrough performance for the industry’s most widely deployed cryptographic algorithms, including public-key cryptography, symmetric encryption, and hashing.

Speaking of security, with this latest generation, we are bringing Intel Software Guard Extensions—an advanced hardware instruction that provides enclaves of protected memory to deliver enhanced security for sensitive data into our mainline 2 socket server processors. This hardware-based security capability has been used for years by cloud service providers and will enable more of our customers to better protect their customers’ most sensitive data in confidential computing environments.

Flexible Portfolio Across Connectivity, Storage, and Compute

Along with connectivity, storage, and acceleration solutions delivered by Intel, customers can further enhance workload-optimized solutions designed to move more, store more, and process everything, everywhere.

For improved connectivity, the 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable platform supports the latest Intel® Ethernet 800 series adapters delivering speeds up to 200 Gbps per adapter, and up to 100 Gbps port speeds with features only available on the Intel platform.

For improved memory capacity, the Intel Xeon platform supports the latest Intel® Optane™ Persistent Mem 200 series delivering up to 6TB total memory per socket and on average 32% higher memory bandwidth compared with the previous generation.2 In addition, we’re excited to feature our new Intel® Optane™ SSD P5800X—the fastest datacenter SSD on the planet.

Deep Industry Collaboration

Thousands of Intel software engineers are partnering with the world’s leading ISVs and open-source communities to optimize software, break bottlenecks and enable new features, unleashing the platform's performance. In AI, this has resulted in increased performance with Intel DL Boost when using AI software optimized specifically for the platform’s architecture, including TensorFlow, PyTorch and OpenVINO. Now businesses can choose from 150+ containers and 200+ enterprise ISV solutions for data analytics and AI, accelerating time to results.

With Intel-defined configurations and partner innovations, Intel Select Solutions deliver verified performance while reducing the time and resource investment for our customers to deploy. Today, with Market Ready Solutions and Intel Select Solutions covering critical workloads from the edge to the network to the cloud, we offer over 500 ready-to-deploy partner solutions covering a multitude of use cases.

At Intel our purpose is to create world-changing technology that enriches the lives of every person on earth. And we believe that together, we can unleash the power of data no matter where it’s created, where it’s used, and where it’s stored to make the world a better place.
