I am trying to setup Edge insights for fleets on a linux machine. I have downloaded the zip file, and am trying to install it via the command:

 ./edgesoftware install

 But keep getting the error:

Failed to update apt list. Command '['apt', '-qq', 'list', 'python3-pip']' returned non-zero exit st

Here is the complete log:

edge@iotedge-linux:~/fleets$ ./edgesoftware install

I have done everything from updating the apt list, uninstalling, reinstalling, and even using sudo but the error persists. Please how do I resolve this

Hi ikinyarel,

Thank you for reaching out.

Based on System Requirements, the supported Ubuntu version is 20.04 LTS. Can you help to confirm the version of Ubuntu you are using?

Regards,

Zul

Hello,

Thank you for your response

I've been making use of Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS. I'll revert to version 20.04 and leave feedback

Hi ikinyarel,

I'm having the same issue as well. Did reverting to 20.04 resolved the issue?

Hey Zul,

Downgrading to Ubuntu 20.4 seems to have fixed the issue
