Hi Intel,
We did a board that uses SOC(Debian GNU) integrated with the Intel's CT-Desktop adapter(82574l).
It got connected and worked. But we had issues in terms of actual speed when we tried using the PCI card at Gbps.
It automatically switched to 100mbps failing to run at the desired gigabit speed.
Is there any specific drivers to be pre-installed into the chip to work at gbps?
We could share a part of the schematics where 82574l is integrated with SOC.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Saravana

Based on your previous communication, could you please tell us if the affected design has been developed by you? Because you told us that the device related to this situation is an https://ark.intel.com/products/50395/Intel-Gigabit-CT-Desktop-Adapter Intel(R) Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter that is not equal to the showed in the attached document.
Waiting for your clarification.

Dear CAgui2,
I am currently having somewhat similar issue with Intel(R) Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter.
For most cases, this network card successfully auto-negotiate at the speed of 1Gbps.
But for some link partners (Such as 10G Network card and etc..) , this network card fails performing auto-negotiation and no link fails.
if I set Intel(R) Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter speed to 1Gbps fixed, the result is same.
Only when when i set Intel(R) Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter speed to 100Mbps, Link is up.
Please guide me how to make 1Gbps link with Intel(R) Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter and other 10G network card.
Thank you.
