2.      I heard about Profile editor to create a DDP profiles but I did not see it in Intel website, where can I download it?

Thank you for posting in Intel Ethernet Communities.

Before me proceed, please provide the following details for me to better understand your inquiry.

  1. What is the exact model of your Intel Ethernet Card?
  2. Are you designing an embedded product?

Hi Michael L.

Thanks for your question.

Please see below for the answer:

  1. My card: Intel X710 for 10GbE SFP+ (rev01)

Hello, @HNT56:

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.

The information that may help you is stated on pages 4, 13, 14and 15 of the Intel(R) Ethernet Controller 700 Series GTPv1 - Dynamic Device Personalization [DDP] Application Note and DDP for Intel(R) Ethernet 700 Series that can be found in the following websites:

Thank you for your all replys.

Now I have a new problem.

I run pktgen-3.7.1 to send packet to DDP intel card but I got error "i40e_dcb_init_configure: default dcb config fails. err = -53, aq_err =3" and when I excute "start 0" command, nothing happen, Tx value didn't change.

Here are my environment:

Source card: Intel X710

Dst card: intel X700 ( config DDP)

DPDK: dpdk-stable-18.11.2

I think the reason is my dpdk version not match with card X710, is it true?

Can you tell me how to fix it.

Best regards!

Thank you.

Hello.

In https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/articles/dynamic-device-personalization-for-intel-ethernet-700-series.html says:

"DDP requires an Intel Ethernet 700 Series network adapter with the latest firmware 6.01"

So I download firmware latest version 7.3 and run update but I got below error:

[root@localhost Linux_x64]# ./nvmupdate64e -l update.log
