Hi dear,

good day to you. Do you know the differences between GD82551ER SL66X, GD82551ER , LU82551ER SL7G4 and LU82551ER? I got a IC mark of "82551ER". Does anyone know which part number it refers to?

Thanks

Alice

Hello, @AliceFu:

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.

The part numbers with the prefixes LU of the Intel® 82551ER Fast Ethernet Controller are lead-free (RoHS compliant) versions, which is totally different from the part numbers with prefixes GD that are leaded versions.

On the other hand,  part number GD82551ER SL66X is related to a leaded version (as we mentioned about the GD suffix) of the cited ethernet controller with shipping media tape and reel (T&R) for the Spec Code SL66X located in the end section of the cited part number. And, part number LU82551ER SL7G4 is the lead-free version (as we mentioned about the LU suffix) of the previous part number because its shipping media is T&R based on its Spec Code, which is SL7G4.

You can confirm this information in the Ordering and Compliance tab of the following website:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/1289/intel-82551er-fast-ethernet-controller/ordering.html

Best regards,

@CarlosAM_INTEL.
