i210 programming flash by using u-boot or VxWorks

Hi,

I am working on an ARM based custom CPU board that uses an i210.

I think I need to program the iNVM and/or the external FLASH somehow to some initial configuration, However, I do not understand how to do it.

- Are there any tool can be executed from U-Boot or VxWorks 7?

- Where can I find the sample configuration file(s)?

- How can I get them?

Can anyone help me?

Hi Tatsuya,

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.

The information that may help you is described in the following FAQ questions 2.14, 2.15, 2.16

https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/faqs/ethernet-controller-i210-i211-faq.... Intel(R) Ethernet Controller I210/I211 Frequently Asked Questions [FAQs] document # 335346.

As to your last questions about tool being able to execute in U-Boot or VxWorks 7; I am afraid that the EEupdate is only available on EFI, Windows and Linux; no source codes available.

We hope that this information is useful.

Best regards,

Hello Jaime,

Thank you for your reply.

If I understood your answer correctly, I have to find a way somehow to program the iNVM and the external FLASH.

Is it possible to run the EEupdate from the Embedded Linux (such as Ubuntu)?

Anyway, I need to know the format of the data to be programmed into the iNVM/FLASH.

However, I cannot access the 513655 images archive mentioned in the "ethernet-controller-i210-i211-faq".

How can I access to such information?

Regards
