is compatible i210 with pex8609 pcie gen 2

Hi,

in my design I'm using I210-IT (PCIe rev 2.1) with PCIe switch PEX8609 (PCIe Gen 2) and PCIe Clock buffer 9DBL0841BKILF IDT .

I force link speed 2.5 in the PEX8609, but link can be in 5-7 minutes or not at all.

In order to better understand your question, could you please let us know how many units of the project related to this circumstance have been manufactured? How many are affected? Could you please give the failure rate? Also, could you please list the sources that you have used to design it and if it has been verified by Intel? By the way, could you please provide pictures of the top markings of the Intel Ethernet Controllers?

Are I210IT compatible wit PCI Express gen.2?

We have three identical samples of our device. On each of them we connect 6 controllers I210IT to the PEX8609 switch. Everywhere, the connection between PEX8609 and I210IT is not stable, the link is in 5-7 minutes. it hasn't been verified by Intel.
