Atom E38xx with 4GB DDR3L 4 packages(8Gb each chip)

Processor - E3845.

Can I install 4 packages 8Gb(bit org x16) memory chip on each, for a total volume of 4GB?

I know that the list of supported x16 devices, is 2Gb chips only(atom-e3800-family-datasheet.pdf Revision 4.1). But there are many examples where PC on board(Q7 formfactor) set 4Gb(x16) memory chips. Maybe it is possible to install 8Gb x16(MT41K512M16HA)?

I think it is quite realistic given the number of bits in the address bus A[15:0].

Carlos_A, thanks for the answer. But I was hoping to see confirmation of the possibility of installing 8Gbit of memory chips. But I have not seen confirmation.

There are board called MinnowBoard(E3825) produced by a department of INTEL, there are 4 memory chip installed. 2 chips on top and 2 on bottom. In the description of the board says that the total memory capacity can be 1GByte, 2GByte or 4 GByte. http://wiki.minnowboard.org/MinnowBoard_MAX MinnowBoard MAX - MinnowBoard Wiki This means that the capacity 8Gbit(each)x16 chips can be used.

But in datasheet on the processor E38xx says that memory with 16bit data width can only be 2Gbit density.

I do not know whether, is it possible to use 8 Gbit(x16) chips, in 4 packages, for a total volume of 4 GByte.

@l00king

why the MT41k256M16HA data bus and the DDR module data bus of the cpu isn't the One to one correspondence( swap circuit in the picture )? Is it for the layout?

We can change the ddr data bus sequence in the bios?
