- What does the code we received do exactly ? (inintialization, configuring to some mode)- What do we need to configure for the application to start- When we boot the system, we jump directly into the Bios, why? What is the step after?- Do you have sample drivers for activating LED, 7Segment and RS232 (COM1) Can we have access to that code?- APIC Timer - how to make it work properly ?- What do we need as a strict minimum in order to do what we need to do?- Is it possible to stay in real mode and work with the IVT ? Does it make sense to jump into Protected mode for implementing µC/OS-III ?- How to stay in real mode, protected mode? Code for that?

Hello and Welcome to the Intel® Embedded Community.

From your questions it seems like you are just getting started with Intel® Atom™. Let me point you to a few resources that might be useful:

Here is the User's Guide for the N450 board: http://download.intel.com/design/intarch/manuals/324421.pdf http://download.intel.com/design/intarch/manuals/324421.pdf

For an introduction to Atom, there is a good book available from Intel Press, "Break Away with Intel® Atom™ Processors"

http://www.intel.com/intelpress/sum_ms2a.htm http://www.intel.com/intelpress/sum_ms2a.htm

I want to make you aware of a special place to go with questions like yours. The Intel® e-Help desk is staffed by Intel representatives who support select Intel embedded platforms including Atom

To access e-Help, you need to be a Privileged member of the Intel® Embedded Community. If you are not already a Privileged member, you can request an upgrade to your community account here:

https://edc.intel.com/My-Account.aspx https://edc.intel.com/My-Account.aspx

In addition to access to e-Help, Prvileged members may also access the confidential content within the Intel® Embedded Design Center, such as design documents, specifications, and training materials.

I hope this helps.
