Hello,

When Windows 7 - 32 Bit is beeing installed on the laptop and the drivers will be downloaded from the product support page of HP. ( http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=7834518&swLangOid=8&swEnvOid=4053 )
all devices can be installed except one device with the following hardware Id : 8086-9D70-21-00-103c-8101
This driver is a part of the audio card sw package SP72909.
when this driver is extracted and you will check ..\sp72909\HDAudioBusDrv\IntcAudioBus.inf
You will see only that this driver is suitable for x64 systems :
[Intel.NTAMD64.6.2]
%IntcAudioBus.DeviceDesc% = IntcAudioBus, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9D70&CC_0401 ; SPT-LP
%IntcAudioBus.DeviceDesc% = IntcAudioBus, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9D71&CC_0401

%IntcAudioBus.DeviceDesc% = IntcAudioBus, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9D73&CC_0401
%IntcAudioBus.DeviceDesc% = IntcAudioBus, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9D74&CC_0401
%IntcAudioBus.DeviceDesc% = IntcAudioBus, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9D75&CC_0401
%IntcAudioBus.DeviceDesc% = IntcAudioBus, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9D76&CC_0401
